Real Time Seismic Visualization Ticker

Introduction

Ticker is a 3D seismic Visualization package that monitors events recorded by the Integrated Seismic system. It allows users to visualize event locations and magnitudes soon after the events are recorded. This program supersedes the old XMap.

Some of Ticker's notable features are:

With these features Ticker allows one to view seismic event locations as they occur.

Do you need Ticker?

If you would like to view 3D locations and calculated sizes of seismic events soon after they are recorded, then you need Ticker or XMap. XMap is the old (Linux-only) visual event monitor that is superceded by Ticker and will eventually be phased out.

Features

3D Interaction

Ticker is a full three dimensional visualization package that avoids overcomplicated and detailed operations present in most CAD packages. The 3D viewer enables quick navigation through mine plans, sensor sites and event locations with simple clicks and drags of the mouse.

Event Filtering And Viewing

Event Filtering - Tools are available to filter events within particular magnitude ranges. These filters will toggle visibility of events in the viewer.

The image below shows the event that occurred most recently.

By clicking on an event Ticker will show you the relevant event data. The image below shows the event info tab in Ticker.

Intuitive User Interface

Ticker is intuitive and easy to use, using the tutorial style help system you should be able to get Ticker up and running within an hour.
